About Health Department Sindh

After the Secretary of Health, the highest ranking and most powerful officer is the Director-General of Health Sindh BPS-20, to whom all of them report.
One of the most prominent and significant positions in Pakistani history is the DG Health Office in Sindh. Since Pakistan’s creation in 1947, this office has held great significance. The Secretary of Health himself is equal to the DG of Health. Since the position of DG Health is equivalent to that of the Secretary of the Department, the Chief Secretary himself appoints the DG Health after consulting with the Chief Minister. This indicates that the Secretary of Health lacks the authority to appoint the DG Health.
