About Heavy Industries Taxila HIT
The concept for Heavy Industries Taxila HIT was developed in the early 1970s, and the Heavy Rebuild Factory (T-Series), the company’s first production facility, began operations in 1980. Several other factories followed in the early 1990s, and now HIT has developed into a military-industrial complex with six major production units, support facilities, and an administrative establishment.
Heavy Industries Taxila HIT is a component of Pakistan’s top defence industry, which was founded in the early 1970s to restore the country’s tanks. It has developed over the past 40 years into a sizable military-industrial centre that is presently engaged in the production and repair of advanced weaponry, tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and other security-related equipment, including security cars. It currently consists of six production units, a top-notch research and development centre, and an internal development and component manufacturing plant.
