About Islamabad Police

The President’s Order No. 17 & 18, 1980, created the Islamabad Capital Territory Police, which went into effect on January 1, 1981. Eligibility Criteria:

• Assistant: A bachelor’s degree in public administration and a basic understanding of computers are now requirements for assistant positions available in the Islamabad Police. These include proficiency with Microsoft Office and other pertinent software. In addition, the department will give preference to candidates who meet the age range of 18 to 25 and who possess strong communication, team-building, and leadership qualities to oversee junior office staff members.
• Steno Typist: The educational requirements for employment as a Steno-Typist in the police department are an Intermediate degree from an accredited institution and a precise typing speed of 35 wpm in English and 22 wpm plus speed in Urdu. In addition, computer literacy and 80 wpm shorthand speed are required for handling office tasks, as well as Pakistani nationality.
• Key Punch Supervisor: Candidates must be proficient in operating crucial punch equipment and have completed their higher secondary education in order to be considered for the open positions of Key Punch Supervisor.
